The Map View — Visualising Your Routes

The Map view in KnotWise displays all your recorded passages as routes on an interactive chart — giving you a visual history of every voyage your vessel has made.

Accessing the map

Click Map in the left sidebar. The map loads your full passage history, with each passage rendered as a track line connecting the recorded log entry positions.

What the map shows

• Route tracks for all completed and active passages
• Individual log entry positions along each track
• Departure and arrival ports for each passage

Interacting with the map

Tap or click on any point along a route to view the associated log entry details — position, time, weather conditions and vessel status at that moment.

Exporting route data

Passage routes can be exported as GPX tracks for use in external chart plotters and navigation software. Navigate to Export → Data Export to download GPX files. See Exporting Your Logbook for full details.
